The Somfy 1st generation smart thermostat is compatible with boilers and heat pumps. The 2nd generation thermostat is also compatible with pilot wire electric radiators, underfloor heating and hot water tanks.
The product design (front cover and back cover) is also slightly different for each version. You can easily identify the version that you have by looking at the back cover:
