These two-leaf gates can be equipped with several types of motorisation depending on your needs. Less expensive than the sliding gate, the electric swing gate is quicker to install but needs more clearance to the inside or outside to open. Its opening system, which can be rotated up to 180°, allows you to pass through more easily.
By choosing an electric gate, you are choosing everyday convenience. It will also be more secure, thanks to the protection system of our electric motors, which makes it almost impossible to open your gate by force. You won't have to get out of your car ever again to open and close the gate, you can do it from your car and thus avoid weather-related hazards.
The motor is invisible and thus preserves the aesthetics of your gate. It can be used for all installation configurations. However, it cannot be purchased separately from the gate and is therefore integrated in the installation of a new swinging gate.
The Somfy Invisio motor is, for example, an integrated motor.
These are particularly suited to heavy gates such as those in steel. They also suit compact spaces or those areas exposed to wind. However, these types of motor also have more installation constraints than an arm gate opener.
Somfy Ixengo, Exavia, SGS are examples of linear screw motors.
Articulated arm gate openers are suited to all materials (iron, aluminium, wood, PVC, etc.). They need more space than linear screw motors, but are also faster. Finally, this system preserves the structure of the gate, respecting the natural opening movement.
Somfy Axovia, Evolvia, Lockyvia are examples of arm gate motors.
